An opportunity to bring students along to enjoy a CWG Legacy Multisport Festival. Using funding acquired through Sport England, we are pleased to be able to provide an exciting carousel of multisport workshops. Attending school teams will have the opportunity to participate in four 45 minute workshops. Workshops will include: Short Mat Bowls, Indoor Rowing, Arrows Archery, Laser Run, Plastic Sword Fencing, Fun Athletics, Fun Tennis and Dan the Skipping Man workshops. Please note: we cannot guarantee any activity and teams will be allocated a four workshop program.
This event is likely to be very popular and so we are initially limiting schools to 1 team of six pupils. There are no gender restrictions for this event. Colleagues are asked to select pupils that they feel would most benefit from the opportunity, including children that may struggle with secondary transition or those that lack confidence in PE and School Sport. We hope it will provide an exciting opportunity for attendees to try new activities and mix with other year 6 and 7 pupils.
Additional team slots may become available after secondary engagement is known.
A risk assessment and essential details will be shared with registered schools in advance.
Children and staff will need to bring a packed lunch as this is a full day event.
